Here’s a slightly twisted, savory version of oatmeal incorporating the antioxidant-rich Wild Mushroom bone broth powder. A delicious way to get all the benefits of bone broth while boosting overall health. Great for breakfast, lunch, dinner or as a post-workout meal. This might just be my new favourite delight! Miso oatmeal with bone broth!
Ingredients:
1 garlic clove thinly sliced
1/2 tsp red chili flakes
3 tbsp olive oil
2 oz sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 egg (poached and set aside)
1 Bone Brewhouse Wild Mushroom packet
1 tbsp miso
2 tsp soy sauce or Tamari
Directions:
Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a pan over medium and stir in mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until golden brown, then set aside. In a small pot, bring 1 cup water to a boil and add the contents of the bone broth packet. Stir to combine. Add oats and reduce heat and cook for 7 to 10 minutes. Meanwhile heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a pan over medium, then add sliced garlic and chili flakes. Lower heat and cook until garlic is lightly golden. During the last minute of cooking, add miso paste and soy sauce to oats and stir to combine. Serve oatmeal topped with mushrooms, egg and chili oil.
