Irish Boxty with a Bone Broth Twist

Celebrate Irish tradition with some delish boxty, complete with a boost of protein and nutrition. This recipe features just a handful of everyday ingredients and our Naked bone broth. You’re going to love this Irish boxty with a bone broth twist all year round. 


  1. To a bowl add, 2 cups cold mashed potatoes, 2 cups finely grated raw potatoes, 2 cups all-purpose flour (or swap 1:1 gluten free flour), 1 packet Naked bone broth, 1.5 teaspoons salt, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1.5 to 2 cups of buttermilk (you can make your own if you prefer), plus more as needed.
  2. Heat a pan and add oil/ghee/butter. Form small patties and add them to your pan, pressing down on each one.
  3. Cook on one side until golden brown (approx 3-5 minutes each side depending on thickness and heat), then flip and repeat. Don’t rush the cooking process to ensure the grated potatoes cook through.
  4. Garnish with fresh dill, chives, or green onions.
  5. Serve warm. Sour cream is optional.
